Business Mission „Electronic Based Systems / Silicon Alps Region“

The Silicon Alps Business Mission, held from 11th to 13th October 2023, brought together a diverse group of stakeholders from sectors like microelectronics, sensor technology, cyber security, power electronics, and more, to foster cooperation and drive innovation in electronic based systems. The mission’s itinerary was rich with visits to pioneering companies and R&D facilities, offering a platform for networking, knowledge transfer, and the exploration of potential synergies among participants from various regions. 11 Participants, including from Germany, France, and Finland convened to share expertise, explore new collaborations, and delve into cutting-edge research and development activities.
Through events like the EBSCON 2023 and visits to leading tech hubs like Lam Research GmbH, Silicon Austria Labs GmbH, NXP Semiconductors Austria GmbH & Co KG, and SVI Austria GmbH, participants were immersed in discussions around disruptive technologies, twin transition for digital and green transformations, and the imperative of cross-industry collaborations to meet future challenges.
This initiative not only highlighted the robust technological ecosystem of the Silicon Alps Region but also underscored the crucial role of cross-border collaborations in advancing Europe’s ambitions in the global digital and technological landscape. Through the collective efforts of its participants, the business mission stands as a testament to the region’s commitment to driving innovation, fostering a sustainable future, and maintaining a competitive edge in the rapidly evolving tech industry.
