Stadt Graz – Amt für Wirtschafts- und Tourismusentwicklung

Die Abteilung für Wirtschafts- und Tourismusentwicklung ist für die Stadt Graz die Schnittstelle zur Graz Tourismus und Stadtmarketing GmbH (GTG) und zum Tourismusverband Graz (TVG). Die GTG ist für die gesamte operative Umsetzung der Tourismus- und Citymanagementagenden zuständig und kooperiert mit dem TVG.

Die GTG hat das Ziel, Graz als die Tourismusdestination im mittel- und zentraleuropäischen Raum zu etablieren. Die Positionierung konzentriert sich auf drei Spitzenqualitäten: Kulturhauptstadt, Genusshauptstadt und Wissensstadt. Die steigenden Nächtigungszahlen zeigen, dass die strategische Ausrichtung der Positionierung der Stadt den Puls der Zeit trifft.

The Department of Economic and Tourism Development is the interface to Graz Tourismus und Stadtmarketing GmbH (GTG) and the Graz Tourist Board (TVG) for the City of Graz. The GTG is responsible for the entire operational implementation of the tourism and city management agendas and cooperates with the TVG.

The GTG aims to establish Graz as the tourism destination in Central and Eastern Europe. The positioning focuses on three top qualities: cultural capital, pleasure capital and knowledge capital. The rising number of overnight stays shows that the strategic orientation of the city’s positioning takes the pulse of the times.
