This month, our SAL site in Linz has been equipped with some useful new test devices at the LIT-Factory at the Johannes Kepler Universität Linz.We have received the new 5G RAN hardware equipment from Nokia. In September, we have installed the hardware in our multi vendor 5G Testbed in the factory shop floor in Linz. Furthermore, a demonstration of the industrial automated pick and place use case using a mobile robot from OMRON Group, and a robot arm from Universal Robots, controlled and monitored over 5G, have successfully been performed two times at the COST CA20120 INTERACT meeting and for the 5GEARING project consortium, respectively. Soon, we will also extend our 5G Testbed with new systems such as UWB for localization, WiFi APs for comparison of different wireless communication technologies and cameras systems for situational awareness topics.💡 You want to get a chance to check out our 5G Testbed?
